Our client is currently seeking an IT Governance Technical Writer - SR (COBIT)
The Technical Writer will be responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Exceptional writing skills, the ability to draft policies, standards, procedures, and work instructions in a clear and concise manner
  • Able to assess the impact on policies, standards, procedures, and work instructions in the event of business or regulatory changes
  • Proactively work with team members and business partners to uncover, understand, and address policy, standard, procedure, and work instruction needs
  • Ability to develop strong and effective working relationships and establish trust with peers and leaders, internal and external business partners
  • Attention to detail when writing in order to drive standardization - ensure the appropriate use of standardized templates and consistent use and style of language, adopting one voice
  • Must be a self-starter and comfortable operating independently, and be able to navigate with autonomy; must proactively manage up, provide updates on progress, re-confirm priorities, and seek clarity/help in the event of roadblocks

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of business policy, standard, procedure, work instructions, and process maps writing, preferably in IT and/or financial services
  • General understanding of COBIT, Unified Compliance Framework, and Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance space
  • Basic knowledge of rules/regulations, 3 lines of defense, and governance principles within the wealth management / retail brokerage industry
  • Strong analytical skills, passion for analysis • 3+ years' experience in financial services, broker/dealer and/or RIA
  • Compliance, legal, or regulatory background a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong drafting and editing skills
  • Highly organized and efficient approach; able to work effectively under pressure, and to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of rules/regulations within the wealth management / retail brokerage industry
  • Bachelor's Degree required, an advanced applicable degree is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in IT Service Management (ITIL & COBIT) is a plus
